Rural Retreat, Hancock, NH
Far from the city, the homeowners of this new hilltop rural retreat wanted to blend the home with its natural surroundings. To welcome visitors to the north side of the home, we wove a tapestry of birch trees, dwarf evergreens, native groundcovers, aged boulders and Goshen stone walkways. On the south side of the home, just outside the picture windows and deck, we planted sweeping masses of low-maintenance perennials and grasses that provide spring, summer and fall color complementing the majestic views.
