Our Philosophy

At Parker Garden our philosophy is to approach every project in partnership with our clients. We get to know you and your property, and then we come up with distinct design options that blend your tastes with our expertise.

While every project is individually designed, in all cases our goal is to provide the perfect balance between hardscape (walls, patios, walks, bricks, boulders) and plant materials (trees, shrubs, perennials, plantings).

We’re passionate

about reflecting the living history of our region’s native materials, including New England fieldstone, granite, bluestone and other types of natural stone, and the plants that flourish in our terrain.

Whether your project is modest or grand—whether you are looking for dazzling or demure—we’ll create a landscape that inspires moments of pause and years of visual joy.

Our Process

Over the years, we have developed a process that is based on understanding your needs and creating lasting landscapes that you will love. No project is too big or too small, too complicated or too simple.

Understanding You

We sit with you. We walk around with you. We get to know who you are and how you use your home and outdoor space.

Assessing Functionality

Once we have a sense of your landscape needs, desire and budget, we’ll show you our portfolio to provide examples of various options. We will provide ideas about what makes the most sense given what we have learned about your lifestyle, tastes and budget.

Analyzing the Site

We’ll take measurements and pictures, determine grading issues and generally get to know your property.

Designing

Once we have agreed on the approximate budget and vision, we’ll move forward with the design process. Once our plan is formulated, we’ll schedule a meeting with you to review the concept drawings and detailed installation budget.

Finalizing the Design Plan

Based on your feedback, we will make any necessary revisions to the concept drawing and the related budget adjustments.

Construction

Once we come to an agreement, your landscape installation will be scheduled and completed.
